Fear-Faith-Fight

It is snowing again!  Just when I thought it was going to warmTree of Life Banner Widget up and maybe see some green, it is cold and windy again. In my school classroom, we have snow flakes all over one wall with the phrase, “Let It Snow”. I said yesterday, I don’t want to see any more snow, let’s take that down and put up birds and flowers and sun. I know it is coming, so I am going to prepare for it, start thinking like it and let it begin looking like it. I am getting ready for spring!

In our life we face some times when we are so tired of our circumstances. We are overwhelmed with fear, because we think we can never get past the problems we are facing. But, it is time to fight our fear with faith. Start believing in the God that can change our problems into victories. Stop looking at what we see, and instead start believing in the word of God and seeing in faith what He can do!

There is a saying, “The early bird gets the worm.” We need to be like the early bird and go after the word of God. We will get our victory when we fight our fear with faith in the word of God.  “O God, thou are my God; early will I seek thee; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.”(Ps. 63:1) When I am feeling discouraged and full of fear, I need to go to the Bible.  There I will find the nourishment my soul needs to fight with faith the fear that is trying to overtake my life and keep me from moving forward in God. Broken Pieces

Love Worship Backgrounds“Something beautiful, something good, all of my confusion He understood. All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, but He made something, beautiful out of my life.”  I remember this song being sung years ago. It is an old song, but the message still rings true for today. God can take our broken pieces and put them together into something more beautiful than we could ever imagine.

No one likes broken things. We all want to mend what is broken. Even children don’t like broken things. I remember putting my dolls on my dad’s dresser waiting for him to come home so he could mend the broken arm, or leg, or worse head! I didn’t like having to give up that doll and leave it on my dad’s dresser and wait. But, in order for it to be mended I had to leave it where he would see it. Dad always did his best to repair the broken pieces.

Many people think love, is a complex thing, easily missed and evaded. But perhaps their view is tainted by the media and perhaps even life experiences. Love, according to the media is something that happens quickly, that kiss on a first date! All of sudden you think you are in love, only to be disappointed later. But in actuality, that was not love. Love in fast forward doesn’t really work! So, we begin to think that love doesn’t really exist.  Read more…

Red, Yellow and Green

(Sharefaith App Image)We all want to go forward. Recently, I have been teaching my daughter to drive. In order for her to go forward, she had to have an understanding of the basics. While driving, there are some traffic signals we encounter; the red, yellow and green lights. We all know, red = stop, yellow= slow down and green=go. As long as we are obeying the signals we should be ok! When headed forward in God, there are some red, yellow and greens in our journey. The red light God puts in our life is for stop. Stop sinning. God wants us to stop causing trouble in our life by disobeying His word. Ps. 38:18 says, ” I will be sorry for my sin”. We need to repent of our sins and turn from our ways. I have noticed that if you choose to run a red light, it not only effects you, but those around you. When we choose to run the red lights God puts in our life, our family and those closest to us are affected.  Read more…

Winter

Winter Snow is falling! It looks so beautiful.  Many people don’t like the winter because of the cold and snow. However, right now as I look out my winwalkinwoodsdow, I see such a beautiful scene. The trees are covered in snow and it actually looks perfect. I am reminded of the scripture that says, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.” The snow can hide so much. That mountain of trash, when covered with snow, can look beautiful. Our sins, when covered by the blood, of Jesus can look beautiful. Fresh, fallen snow, untracked and unmarked is so pristine. Our lives can be clean as well, when we let the blood of Jesus cover us completely and hide any sin that may have been in the past. I need the blood to cover me every day and wash me white as snow!
