The mission of LifePoint Church is to point people toward Jesus so they can find hope, love, joy and peace and to connect with others, to provide a place of safety and instruction to build their lives in Christ.

Pastor Gilliss and his family are dedicated to God and to this church. His vision is to see the continued growth of this assembly and the hand of God touch, deliver and heal many lives.

Rick Gilliss, Worship & Music Pastor

The Bible has a lot to say about music, and Pastor Rick’s role is to lead the church’s worship of God in a way that matches the character of God. Rick is an accomplished musician, who has ministered with numerous worship bands across the country.
Rick has recently married his princess, Ariqua, and the two are a dynamic couple working with passion to lead the congregation in an encounter with God through music. Each service is filled with powerful songs, some hymns, such as “Oh The Blood”, and some current worship songs like, “Your Presence is Heaven To Me.”  Pastor Rick and Ariqua worship God with all their heart and it is felt throughout the congregation, as together everyone exalts the name of Jesus. Rick and Ariqua also lead a group for young adults called 30 Below.

Stump Color
Ed Stump, Founding Pastor

After much prayer, fasting and direction from God, Apostolic Tabernacle was established in January 1979 by  Rev. C. Ed Stump. The first service was held in the basement of a home in Farmington, N.J. There were approximately 25 in attendance in that first service.  It was evident in the humble beginnings that God had his hand on Apostolic Tabernacle. There were many services where the power of God moved, healed and touched lives.

After 32 years of compassionate and giving leadership and growth, Pastor Stump and Bea Stump felt it was time to retire. By prayer and fasting, and with the unanimous ratification of the church body the mantle of Pastor was passed to Rev. R. W. Gilliss.

Pastor and Bea Stump are still actively involved in LifePoint Church and ministry. They together lead the Golden LifePointers and Pastor Stump is one of the TeachPoint teachers. Pastor Stump is also a chaplain for the Pleasantville Police Department and he sits on the board as chairman for juvenile offenders in several cities in Atlantic County.
