If you were to ask 10 different people their definition of love, you would recieve 10 different answers. 

 

Many people think love, is a complex thing, easily missed and evaded. But perhaps their view is tainted by the media and perhaps even life experiences. Love, according to the media is something that happens quickly, that kiss on a first date! All of sudden you think you are in love, only to be disappointed later. But in actuality, that was not love. Love in fast forward doesn’t really work! So, we begin to think that love doesn’t really exist. 

 

But, it does exist! We just have to move forward in patience to really experience true love. Because Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant ⁵ or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;^b] ⁶ it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (Corinthians 13:⁴⁾You don’t walk into that kind of love overnight. It is developed by moving forward in a relationship,  going forward over bumps and obstacles. Love takes time! 

 

God forwarded His love toward us while we were yet sinners. God’s love took time. He created the world and everything in it, to have a relationship with man. But, because of sin we were separated from Him. God developed a plan of love to show us exactly what true love looks like. He suffered on the cross of Calvary bearing our burdens and sins to show us He loves.  God looks past our faults and failures and is ready to forgive. God is Love!

 

If you really want to know what true love is, then develop a relationship with Jesus. He is Love, perfect love.  To experience a lasting love, we need to experience Jesus. As we go forward in our love relationship with God we will  begin to really understand True Love, yes it does exist.
